By Mark Wells Oct 9, 2025 | 11:54 AM

Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial are once again partnering to provide Farm Safety Program Grants to county Farm Bureaus, with a total of $13,000 in grant funds available.

Eligible projects must focus on farm safety education, accident prevention, or rescue initiatives. Examples of qualifying projects include farm safety day camps, promotion of slow moving vehicle emblems, farm accident rescue programs, and EMS training.

As part of a new initiative, counties that implement safety programs addressing mental health will receive an additional $250 in funding. This reflects a commitment to supporting the mental well-being of agricultural communities.

Grant funds may be used to cover costs such as educational materials, promotional expenses, training demonstrations, external presenters, and participant meals and refreshments.

Each County Farm Bureau (CFB) may submit one grant application to support a single county farm safety program or project, which must be completed by August 1st of next year. Grant applications are due by 4:30 pm on October 17th.
