CARROLL WILLIAMS LAUNCHES ALL-NATURAL NUISANCE AND PREDATOR TRAPPING SERVICE IN FAIRFIELD

By Mark Wells Oct 10, 2025 | 11:56 AM

Carroll Williams of Fairfield has launched a new nuisance and predator trapping service, offering all-natural solutions to help property owners rid their land of unwanted varmints, pests, and insects.

Williams, who learned his craft from his father, renowned local trapper Guy Williams, says his business stands out by using organic recipes that do not require the special chemical licenses usually needed for pest control in Illinois. His methods have recently been used to address issues ranging from deer nibbling on low leaves to controlling bucks in rut, always with solutions that are safe for people, pets, and wildlife.

With over 35 years of experience and a background as a retired electrical contractor, Williams has refined his recipes to repel or deter a wide range of animals, including opossums, bats, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, foxes, coyotes, and bobcats—plus many insects such as carpenter bees, yellow jackets, and hornets. He has developed 19 products for private sale, with several already available in local retail stores.

Williams has held an Illinois Department of Natural Resources license for nuisance and predator trapping for more than three decades, and he was among the first in the state to receive a Commercial Class A license.

Williams says his organic, time-tested solutions offer property owners effective and environmentally-friendly options for nuisance control throughout Wayne County.
