Several individuals appeared in Wayne County Circuit Court on Thursday, resulting in sentences and guilty pleas in criminal cases.
59-year-old Wayne L. Davis of Mount Carmel, was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for delivery and possession of methamphetamine. His sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release and will run concurrently with a sentence in Edwards County. Davis was credited with 100 days served. He was scheduled to appear in Edwards County Court today on a separate possession charge.
Chad Joslin, 51, of Fairfield, pled guilty to domestic battery. He will serve two years of probation and received credit for six days already served in the Wayne County Jail.
Aimee Barr, 34, of Morganfield, Kentucky, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine. A second charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dropped as part of the plea. Barr will serve two years of first-offender probation, complete 30 hours of public service, and received credit for six days already served in the Wayne County Jail.
Joshua Beck, 27, of Farina, admitted to violating a previous sentence of probation on an original charge of theft. Beck was sentenced to 180 days in the Wayne County Jail and ordered to pay court costs. He received credit for 16 days already served.
Tinisha Olson, 33, of Wayne City, pled guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Olson was sentenced to 24 months of probation and ordered to pay court costs. She received credit for three days served in the Wayne County Jail.
Michael Wetzel Jr., 35, of Zeigler, pled guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Wetzel was placed on 24 months of probation and ordered to pay court costs. He received credit for five days served in the Wayne County Jail.
