FCHS BOARD TO REVIEW AUDIT, TRANSPORTATION REPORT, AND NEW COURSE PROPOSALS

The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting on Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall.

The meeting agenda includes approval of the minutes from the September 22nd session, financial reports, and payment of bills.

Superintendent, Bobby Wells will present updates on district revenues and expenses, committee reports, CD rates, and transportation. The board will also hear about the recent Regional Office of Education fire marshal visit, the school’s ongoing speaker series, and upcoming events such as Homecoming Week and the annual College and Career Fair.

Under new business, members will review the FY25 audit, consider approving Dartt & Company, LLC to complete the FY26 audit, and discuss entering a new copy machine lease with GFI Digital. The board will also vote on purchasing a 2021 Thomas 65-passenger bus for $85,095 and consider placing another bus up for public bid. In addition, the board will hold a first reading of new course proposals for the 2026-2027 school year.

The meeting will also include reports from Principal, Tiffany Lyons and recognition of visitors. A closed session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters and student discipline before returning to open session for any final actions and adjournment.
