FAIRFIELD POLICE MAKE TWO ARRESTS IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS

The Fairfield Police Department reported two recent arrests.

Tuesday, October 7th at approximately 6:17 p.m., Fairfield Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of NW 7th Street and Tice Clevenger Drive. The driver, Kelli R. Taylor, 39, of Fairfield, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Richland County. During the stop, officers located a small container that allegedly contained suspected methamphetamine. A field test of the substance yielded a positive result.
Taylor was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing. She is being held pending an appearance before a judge on the Richland County warrant and a new charge of possession of methamphetamine.

In a separate incident on Saturday afternoon just before 4:30, officers were flagged down by two individuals reporting an altercation in the 600 block of West Sibley Street. According to reports, Kylee C. Davis, 36, of Fairfield, allegedly took the reporting party’s vehicle keys, entered her residence, and returned wielding a machete. Davis reportedly struck the victims’ vehicle with the weapon, causing damage.
During the investigation, officers confirmed details of the report, and Davis was informed she was being placed under arrest. At that time, she allegedly made threats to kill Wayne County State’s Attorney Kyle Ellis.
Davis was transported to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation before being released to law enforcement. She was then taken to the Wayne County Jail, where she is being held pending a court appearance. Davis faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, theft over $500, and threatening a public official.
