WARM, DRY WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH FRIDAY – STORMS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND

The National Weather Service in Paducah says high pressure will continue to dominate the weather pattern through Friday, keeping conditions warm, sunny, and dry across the region. Expect plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures, making for ideal weather for outdoor activities.

However, changes are on the way as we head into the weekend. By Saturday morning, moisture will begin returning to the area, with dewpoints rising and scattered showers and thunderstorms expected to develop.

Some storms could become strong to severe, particularly during the late afternoon and evening hours on Saturday. The main threat at this time appears to be damaging winds, though forecasters note that timing and intensity remain uncertain and will continue to be monitored closely.

Following the storms, cooler air is expected to settle in for Sunday and into next week, bringing a noticeable change from recent warmth. Another chance of showers could return by Tuesday as another weather system approaches the region.
