The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education met Thursday evening in the FCHS Study Hall, taking action on several key agenda items during its monthly meeting.
Among the decisions made, the board unanimously approved the fiscal year 2025 audit as presented by Dartt and Company, LLC. The firm was also reappointed to complete the FY26 audit.
In a move to update school resources, members approved a new three-year copy machine lease with GFI Digital. Additionally, the board authorized the purchase of a 2021 65-passenger Thomas Bus for $85,095 and moved to seek bids for an additional bus.
The meeting also featured several informational updates. Superintendent Bobby Wells delivered a transportation report on behalf of Transportation Director Chris Miller, and the board received a summary of the recent Regional Office of Education Fire Marshal visit. Updates were provided on recent school events, including a public forum, College & Career Fair, and Homecoming Week festivities.
The board held a first reading of new course proposals for the 2026–2027 academic year, though no formal action was taken on these items.
