A Macedonia man is facing multiple charges related to child pornography after an investigation in Hamilton County led to his arrest.
Hamilton County Sheriff Tracy Lakin reported that a search warrant was executed last Tuesday at the home of 42-year-old Shawn Schweitzer on Illinois Route 14. Authorities say child pornography was discovered during the search, and Schweitzer was subsequently arrested and booked into the White County Jail.
Online court records indicate Schweitzer is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on December 3rd.
The investigation and search involved the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Illinois State Police, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and the McLeansboro Police Department.
