A two-vehicle accident on Route 45 near Norris City resulted in multiple injuries Wednesday.
Emergency crews arrived to find one vehicle on its side following the collision. Although initial reports indicated possible entrapment, first responders confirmed that no extrication was required once they assessed the scene.
Of the individuals involved, two refused medical treatment. Two others were treated for injuries at the scene, with one transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A juvenile passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Deaconess Evansville for further care.
The response involved several agencies, including the White County Sheriff’s Department, Norris City Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
