TEXICO MAN ARRESTED ON GUN AND DRUG CHARGES AFTER HIGH RISK SEARCH WARRANT

The Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team executed a search warrant early Wednesday morning at a residence in the 17000 block of East Tea Rose Road in Texico, resulting in the arrest of the homeowner on multiple gun and drug charges.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the search warrant was issued following an investigation into illegal firearms. During the operation, authorities collected and secured several pieces of criminal evidence.

46-year-old Jack R. Heinrich, was taken into custody and faces charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of an Altered Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Heinrich was transported to and booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
