This prestigious recognition is given to facilities that achieve at least 95% completeness in case reporting, with 3% or fewer cases listed as unknown in race. The award highlights Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s excellence in accuracy, quality, and timely reporting of cancer data.
Accurate cancer registry reporting is vital for measuring the true burden of cancer in Illinois and helps ensure that statewide cancer prevention and control efforts are targeted where they are needed most.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is also proud to contribute to the Illinois State Cancer Registry’s achievement of 26 consecutive years of NAACCR Gold Standard Registry Certification. This accomplishment reflects the strong teamwork and dedication of hospitals and cancer reporters across the state.
