The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Fairfield Police Department have completed compliance checks on all 44 registered sex offenders in Wayne County to help ensure a safe environment for children and families during Halloween.
As part of this joint operation, deputies arrested one individual on a Wayne County warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
Officials say the checks are part of ongoing efforts to confirm that all registrants are following legal requirements, especially during community events like trick-or-treating. Authorities thanked officers for their teamwork and dedication to public safety and community protection.
