PEACH SALSA SOLD AT KROGER RECALLED OVER POSSIBLE LISTERIA CONTAMINATION

The FDA has announced a recall of some peach salsa products over concerns of possible listeria contamination.

Houston-based JFE Franchising has voluntarily recalled a limited batch of peach salsa made with yellow and white peaches grown in California. The recall follows a national peach recall issued by Moonlight Companies on October 29th, as the affected peaches are ingredients in several JFE Franchising products.

The recalled salsa is sold under the “snowfruit” label at Kroger stores. It is packaged in 16-ounce plastic clamshell containers, retails for $5.99, and has a best-by date of November 3rd or 4th. Consumers who purchased the product are advised not to consume it and may return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
