The Edwards County FFA took top honors at the Section 23 Horse Judging Career Development Event (CDE) held Wednesday, November 5th at the White Squirrel Saddle Club. Students judged horses based on riding ability, appearance, and overall performance.
Team members included Aleah Carlson, Bristol Duncan, Barnes Sawyer, Josie Shelby, and Sydney Williams. Barnes Sawyer earned first place individually, while Sydney Williams placed fourth. Edwards County FFA captured first place overall as a team.
The chapter also competed in the District Horse Judging CDE at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, with participants Aleah Carlson, Bristol Duncan, Jeter Duncan, Owen Lynch, Aidan Roosevelt, Barnes Sawyer, and Kolby Terry representing Edwards County.
