With the Illinois Crop Progress Report unavailable again this week due to the ongoing government shutdown, farmers across the region are reporting that the 2025 fall harvest is nearly finished. Aside from a few remaining double-crop soybean fields, the vast majority of soybean and corn harvests have now wrapped up.
As the harvest winds down, farmers and agricultural workers are reminded to keep “safety first” top of mind. Many are now turning to fall tillage, equipment maintenance, fertilizer applications, and other essential outdoor tasks. Taking precautions during these activities remains critical to ensuring a safe and productive end to the season.
