Jimmy Edward Browning, 44, of Carmi

Jimmy Edward Browning, 44, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born on December 20, 1980 in Carmi, IL the son of Larry Lee and Peggy Nadine (Pollard) Browning. Jimmy married Lisa Schneider on April 7, 2021. He enjoyed fishing, camping, tinkering, and just being outdoors. Jimmy had a big heart and would do anything to help a person and never met a stranger.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Lisa Browning of Carmi, IL; three children, Jacob Schneider of Carmi, IL, Brenna Browning of Carmi, IL, and Matthew Browning of Carmi, IL; two siblings, Billy Browning of Carmi, IL and Jamie Browning of Carmi, IL; mother-in-law, Gale Schneider; sister-in-law, Tiffany Browning; nephew, Gavin Browning; and multiple cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Jimmy Edward Browning, 44, of Carmi will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow at St. Polycarp Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
