WAYNE COUNTY DRUG ENFORCEMENT OPERATION LEADS TO SEVEN ARRESTS

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, working jointly with the Wayne County Probation, conducted a coordinated enforcement sweep Thursday evening targeting drug activity throughout the county.

The operation led to seven arrests, including one on a probation warrant and six on methamphetamine-related offenses:

• Terry R. Lee II, 55, Fairfield – Arrested on a Wayne County Petition for Revocation of Probation warrant


• Christopher T. Kennedy, 45, Sims – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine


• Christina M. Kennedy, 47, Sims – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine


• Brittany N. Bush, 37, Fairfield – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine


• James A. Chambers, 41, Fairfield – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine


• Charles E. Newton, 31, Golden Gate – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine


• Michael L. Keyser, 27, Fairfield – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputies report seizing over 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine and nearly $1,000 in cash during Keyser’s arrest.

 

Sheriff’s officials say this is part of a broader, ongoing strategy to reduce drug-related crime and enhance public safety across Wayne County. Additional operations are planned in the coming months.
