The Fairfield Rural Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon, just after 12:30 p.m., to a reported grain dryer fire at 1497 U.S. Highway 45 in Geff.
Fairfield Rural Fire Chief David Vaughan said the fire was small and involved a grain dryer being used to dry soybeans. There was no equipment damage and only minimal loss to the soybeans.
Firefighters were on scene for about 30 minutes.
