Grayville’s annual “Brighten the Night for Hometown Heroes” event is underway, giving families, businesses, and organizations a chance to support local children while spreading holiday cheer.
For a $50 donation to the Hometown Heroes program, participants can reserve a five-foot Christmas tree to decorate as they wish. The trees will be displayed outside Grayville’s City Depot, creating a festive holiday atmosphere throughout the season.
With a $100 donation, sponsors can have a tree and receive a custom US flag to display as part of their decorations.
Local gift certificates will be awarded to the best decorated trees during the GCAA Jingle Mingle event, beginning at 5 p.m. on December 20th at the Depot. The event will also feature hot cocoa, cookies, crafts, and art projects for children.
All proceeds from “Brighten the Night for Hometown Heroes” will benefit the Hometown Heroes program, which provides local children in need with a Christmas shopping trip.
