The St. Louis Blues aim to avoid a third consecutive loss when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena tonight. (Undated) — Week 11 of the NFL season is in the books. The Dallas Cowboys capped off the week of action with a dominant 33-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football in Sin City. Dak Prescott passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns to help Dallas snap a two-game losing skid. Prescott is now tied for second in the NFL with 21 TD passes this season. The Cowboys improved to 4-5-and-1, while the Raiders had a fourth straight loss that dropped them to 2-and-8. Week 12 kicks off on Thursday when the Houston Texans play host to the Buffalo Bills at NRG Stadium.

(Atlanta, GA) — The Falcons’ season is basically over. ESPN reports Michael Penix Jr. is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered during the team’s overtime loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Atlanta placed the second-year quarterback on injured reserve, which will sideline him for at least four weeks. Kirk Cousins, who was benched for Penix last season, will take over for the 3-and-7 Dirty Birds.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The league is handing down a hefty punishment for a star player on the Bengals. Ja’Marr Chase has been suspended one game for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey. The incident happened early in the fourth quarter during Cincy’s 34-12 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. Ramsey threw a punch at the Bengals receiver, which led to his ejection. Chase is appealing the suspension.

(East Rutherford, NJ) — The Giants could be running into some issues with their top draft pick. According to ESPN, linebacker Abdul Carter was benched for the team’s opening series against the Packers after sleeping at the facility and missing a recent walkthrough. Carter took accountability for the incident following the loss, and took to social media on Monday to clarify that he was actually receiving recovery. New York visits the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

(Cleveland, OH) — Another pro athlete is dealing with a targeted crime. ESPN reports Shedeur Sanders had his home broken into on Sunday. The Browns rookie quarterback was making his debut against the Ravens in Cleveland following Dillon Gabriel’s concussion. Sanders joins a long list of athletes dealing with home break-ins while they were out playing games within the last couple of years.

(Undated) — Several changes can be expected when the latest College Football Playoff rankings are released. Ohio State and Indiana are likely to remain first and second in the nation, but Texas A and M could slip after struggling against unranked South Carolina, and Alabama is sure to drop after falling to number 11 Oklahoma. Elsewhere, the final seed in the bracket is expected to look different after Memphis was topped by East Carolina.

(Blacksburg, VA) — The first major hire of the college football coaching carousel is official. Virginia Tech made former Penn State coach James Franklin its next head coach on Monday. Franklin was fired last month after the Nittany Lions lost three straight games to fall to 3-and-3 on the year. PSU went 128-and-60 in Franklin’s 11-plus seasons on the job. The Hokies fired their former coach Brent Pry in September after a 16-and-24 tenure in Blacksburg.

(Undated) — The Spurs will be without star center Victor Wembanyama for a few weeks. ESPN reports that San Antonio’s big man will be sidelined for several weeks because of a left calf strain. The team is erring on the side of caution and announced that he will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks. The 21-year-old is averaging career highs in points, rebounds and assists while also leading the league in blocks per game. Wembanyama was limited to 46 games last season and has played in just 129 games since being the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

(Cooperstown, NY) — The ballot for the 2026 Baseball Hall of Fame is out now. Ryan Braun, Alex Gordon and Edwin Encarnacion [[ en-kaar–na–see-own ]] are among the dozen players who are on the ballot for the first time. Other first timers include Cole Hamels and Hunter Pence. There are 15 holdovers on the ballot, including Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia and Felix Hernandez. The 2026 Hall of Fame class will be revealed on January 20th.

>>Beltran Makes Hall Of Fame Ballot

(St. Louis, MO) — A former Cardinals All-Star is back on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. Outfielder Carlos Beltran was named as one of 25 finalists up for induction for the 2026 class. It’s Beltran’s fourth time on the ballot. The 48-year-old spent two seasons with St. Louis, making the All-Star Game both years. He hit .282 with 56 home runs and 181 RBI’s in 296 games with the Cardinals.

>>Buehrle Back One Hall Of Fame Ballot

(Chicago, IL) — A Chicago White Sox legend is back on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. Starting pitcher Mark Buehrle was named as one of 25 finalists for induction in the class of 2026. It’s Buehrle’s sixth year on the ballot. The 46-year-old spent 12 of his 16 seasons with the Southsiders, making it to four All-Star games with the club. Buehrle went 161-and-119 with a 3.83 ERA in 390 appearances for the Sox.

(Undated) — Purdue is once again leading the nation following the release of the latest men’s college basketball coaches poll. The Boilermakers received 20 first-place votes. Houston, UConn, Duke and Arizona round out the remainder of the top five. Illinois comes in at number 8 with Gonzaga seeing the biggest jump after climbing seven spots to number 12. Vanderbilt is 24th and Indiana is 25th after not being ranked last week. Creighton and Auburn are the two schools that dropped from the poll.
