Registration is now open for in-person pesticide license testing sessions offered through the Illinois Department of Agriculture in partnership with Illinois Extension. The sessions are for individuals seeking to obtain or renew a commercial, private, or special pesticide applicator/operator license.
Testing is free and will be offered in Edwards, Richland, and Wayne counties from December through March. Participants must bring photo ID, a pencil, and a calculator—phone calculators are not allowed. Registration is required, and early sign-up is encouraged due to limited seating.
Local testing dates include:
Edwards County Farm Bureau, Albion: Dec. 19, 2025; Jan. 15, 2026; Feb. 20, 2026
Richland County Extension Office, Olney: Dec. 3, 2025; Jan. 23, 2026; March 13, 2026
Wayne County Extension Office, Fairfield: Dec. 12, 2025; Feb. 6, 2026; March 19, 2026
Each session runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
