ON THE SCHEDULE TODAY AT FCHS:

CAPITAL CLASS TOURNAMENT AT LAWRENCEVILLE & RED HILL:
The FCHS Mules Basketball team will open it’s season today (Friday) at the Capital Classic Tournament. The Mules first game will be at 11:00 a.m. vs. Red Hill followed by a matchup with Teutopolis at 6:00 p.m. Both games will be played at Red Hill. The Mules will resume play Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a matchup against Mt. Carmel. Placement games will follow the morning session at Lawrenceville.

MT. CARMEL LADY ACES THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT:
The FCHS Lady Mules Basketball team will continue it’s season Friday at the Mt. Carmel Lady Aces Thanksgiving Tournament. The Lady Mules will first face-off with Edwards County at 11:30 a.m. followed by a matchup with Mt. Carmel at 2:30 p.m. The Lady Mules will continue the action on Saturday with a game against Lawrenceville at 11:00 a.m.

MARTINSVILLE BLUESTREAK TIP-OFF TOURNAMENT:
The Cisne Runnin Lions will continue their season this weekend at the Bluestreak Tip-Off Tournament in Martinsville. Cisne will play their first game at 3:00 p.m. this (Friday) afternoon. versus Christ Our Rock Lutheran. Cisne will continue play Saturday at Noon versus Robinson followed by a matchup with Martinsville at 3:00 p.m.

MARY SUR THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT AT MATTOON:
The Wayne City/Cisne Lady Indians will also continue their season today (Friday) at the Mary Sur Thanksgiving Tournament in Mattoon with a matchup against Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 11:00 a.m. The Lady Indians will pick up action again on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a game against Neoga followed by a matchup with Okaw Valley at 2:00 p.m.

The St. Louis Blues aim to avoid a third straight loss when they host the Ottawa Senators at Enterprise Center this afternoon. The Blues are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on the road on Wednesday. St. Louis is in seventh place in the Central Division with 21 points. Today’s game starts at 3:00PM.

The Blackhawks aim to avoid a fifth straight loss when they host the Nashville Predators at United Center tonight. The Blackhawks just lost to the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday. Chicago is in fifth place in the Central Division with 25 points.

Illinois Plays Against UConn
The number-14 Illinois Fighting Illini go for their third win in a row when they take on number-seven UConn at Madison Square Garden today at 11:30am and can be heard on WFIW-AM 1390 on the Illini Sports Radio Network powered by Learfield. The pre-game shows starts at 10:30am. The Illini are off to a 6-and-1 start this season after beating UTRGV 87-73 at home on Monday.

 

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:
Illini And Northwestern Face Off
The Illinois Fighting Illini and Northwestern Wildcats wrap up their regular seasons when they meet at Memorial Stadium tomorrow night at 6:30pm. The Illini and Wildcats are both tied for eighth place in the Big Ten with 4-and-4 conference records. Illinois has won three of the last four meetings between the two teams. The game can be heard on WFIW-AM 1390 on the Illini Sports Radio Network powered by Learfield. The pre-game shows starts at 5:30pm.
