By Mark Wells Dec 3, 2025 | 6:00 AM

A long-standing Fairfield holiday tradition continues as the 36th Annual Christmas Day Dinner will once again be held on Thursday, December 25th at the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located just east of Walmart.

The community meal is open to anyone without access to a hot Christmas dinner or those who would otherwise spend the holiday alone. Volunteers will offer dine-in, carry-out/drive-thru, and delivery options.

This year’s menu includes baked ham with dressing and gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, hot rolls, pumpkin pie with whipped topping, and drinks.

Serving time is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Delivery orders may be placed by calling 618-919-3534 or 618-599-8875 on Christmas Eve after 3 p.m. and before noon on Christmas Day. Delivery is available within Fairfield city limits only, though friends and neighbors outside city limits may arrange pickups in advance.

Donations will be accepted through December 23rd. Checks should be made payable to The Volunteers for the Christmas Dinner and mailed to: P.O. Box 431, Cisne, IL 62823.
