42-year-old Seth Kimpel of Albion, is facing felony and misdemeanor charges in Edwards County following an investigation by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department. Formal charges were filed Tuesday alleging Kimpel was in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony, as well as a Class A misdemeanor for possessing more than 30 but less than 300 grams of the drug.
Kimpel was cited as part of the sheriff’s department’s ongoing efforts to address narcotics-related offenses in the area. He has been released under pretrial conditions and is scheduled to appear in Edwards County Circuit Court on December 15th.
