FAIRFIELD BUSINESSES WARNED OF FAKE $100 BILLS CIRCULATING

By Mark Wells Dec 8, 2025 | 11:57 AM

Fairfield Save-A-Lot Manager Tyler Lampley is alerting local businesses to be on the lookout after multiple counterfeit $100 bills have been passed around town.

The fake bills are easily identifiable, marked with the words “For Motion Picture Purposes Only.” Lampley says the bank has confirmed the bills are counterfeit and is urging all business owners to carefully inspect any $100 bills they receive.

The Fairfield Police Department has been notified and is investigating the incidents.

Local businesses are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious currency immediately.
