Wayne County 4-H is introducing a new program, Spark After School, to help youth discover new interests. Students in second through eighth grade are welcome to attend and do not need to be 4-H members to participate. The program will be held in both Fairfield and Wayne City, beginning in January and continuing through early spring.
4-H programs such as Spark After School allow youth to discover hobbies, explore careers, or spark an interest in something new. Each month, Spark After School will feature a fun topic and an engaging activity. Topics for the upcoming programs will include horses, creating a visual arts project, exploring aerospace, and creating magical swimming fish.
Spark After School in Fairfield will be held at the Wayne County Extension Office located at 2B Frontier Dr., Fairfield, IL 62837. Classes will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 18, and April 15, 2026. Register for the January program online at go.illinois.edu/SparkFairfield.
