A Grayville man, 42-year-old Tyrel Linder, remains at large despite facing serious charges of aggravated animal cruelty, missing a court date, and allegedly stealing a truck involved in a crash.

Linder was charged in August with six counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. He remained in custody until at least September 8th, though details of his release are unclear. His jury pre-trial was originally scheduled for December 8th but was postponed to December 10th.

On the morning of December 8th, Grayville Police responded to a report of a stolen truck at 206 North 3rd Street. Witnesses confirmed Linder took the vehicle, which was later seen at Dollar General before being involved in a crash south of town on Route 1. Crossville Police, Grayville Police, and White County Sheriff’s officers responded to the scene.

Authorities say Linder was released from custody before formal charges could be filed due to medical reasons. Reports indicate he escaped custody by jumping out of an ambulance at a stop sign and has not been seen since. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Law enforcement agencies continue to search for Linder. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities.
