>>Division Races Tighten After Sunday’s NFL Results
(Undated) — The NFL playoff picture is getting a little clearer following Sunday’s results. The Rams remain first in the NFC West after taking down the Lions while the Seahawks and 49ers scooped up wins to stay right behind their division rival. The Broncos now hold sole possession of the best record in the AFC following a win over the Packers coupled with a Patriots loss to the Bills. The Vikings dealt a blow to the Cowboys’ slim playoff chances following a comfortable win on Sunday Night Football. Meanwhile, the Steelers will try to maintain their modest AFC North lead in a Monday night showdown against the Dolphins from Pittsburgh.
>>Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes Tears ACL
(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs’ worst nightmare is just getting started. Franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL during the final minutes of Kansas City’s loss to the Chargers. The loss also officially eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention. Mahomes underwent an MRI after the game to confirm the injury. This is the first time in 10 years Kansas City will not make it to the postseason, which was the longest active streak of any team across the four major North American sports.
>>Report: Packers’ Parsons Tears ACL
(Denver, CO) — The Packers may have lost more than their game on Sunday. According to multiple reports, Green Bay edge rusher Micah Parsons tore his ACL during the team’s 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos. Parsons has 41 total tackles and 12-and-a-half sacks in his first season with the Packers.
>>Rams WR Adams Hurts Hamstring
(Inglewood, CA) — The Rams could be without their top targets. LA wide receiver Davante Adams left his team’s 41-34 win over the Detroit Lions early due to a non-contact hamstring injury. Coach Sean McVay told reporters after the game that it’s “unlikely” that Adams plays Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks, but he has not been ruled out. Adams has caught 60 passes for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns in his first season with the Rams.
>>Garrett Closing In On Sack Record
(Chicago, IL) — Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is closing in on history. Garrett record one-and-a-half sacks during Cleveland’s 31-3 loss to the Chicago Bears, bringing him just one sack shy of Michael Strahan and TJ Watt’s single-season record of 22-and-a-half sacks. Garrett’s next opportunity to set the mark will come Sunday at home against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
>>Seahawks Outlast Colts
(Seattle, WA) — Jason Myers kicked a 56-yard field goal in the final minute to lift the Seahawks to an 18-16 win over the Colts in Seattle. Myers made all six of his field goal attempts and was responsible for all of Seattle’s points. Sam Darnold threw for 271 yards in the victory, with 113 going to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Seahawks improved to 11-and-3, second place in the NFC West due to tiebreakers. Philip Rivers completed 18 of 27 passes for 120 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his first game since January of 2021. Jonathan Taylor put up 101 total yards for Indianapolis. The Colts have lost four in a row to fall to 8-and-6, third place in the AFC South.

>>Indiana Quarterback Fernando Mendoza Wins 2025 Heisman Trophy
(New York, NY) — Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday. He is the first Indiana player to win the award.
