The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, December 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall. The meeting will begin with roll call and proceed to the consent agenda, which includes approval of the open and closed session minutes from the November 17th board meeting, as well as approval of the financial report, district accounts, imprest fund, activity account, petty cash, journal entries, and payment of bills. Visitors will be recognized, followed by a student focus segment.

Superintendent and committee reports will cover topics such as the revenue to expense report, current CD rates from the bank, updates from the building committee, a levy presentation, and SIP/strategic planning. The principal will also present a report.

Under old business, the board will consider bids for Bus 1 and Bus 13, new board policies and revisions (Press 120), and adoption of the 2025 tax levy for taxes payable in 2026.
New business items include consideration of a Chromebook purchase for fiscal year 2026 and authorization to produce a Request for Proposal (RFP) to begin work on various district classroom renovations.

The board will then enter closed session to discuss personnel matters, including appointment, employment, retirement, annual evaluation of the district superintendent, and student discipline.
Upon returning to open session, the board will consider accepting the resignation of Justin Sanders as Head Cross Country Coach and the employment of a long-term substitute.
