A two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening sent one person to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of South First Street and Center Street. Fairfield City Fire Department, Wayne County Ambulance, and Fairfield Police all responded to the scene.
Fairfield Fire Chief Andrew Miller said emergency crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
One individual was transported by Wayne County Ambulance to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. No additional details on the extent of the injuries were released.
Fairfield Police continue to investigate the accident.
