Elizabeth Robinson of Fairfield, died on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in OIney, Illinois. Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Caddo Parish Louisiana on August 8.1935, to Robert Bernard and Vera Elizabeth (Carter) Schach.
Elizabeth graduated from Crossville High School with the Class of 1953 and was a member of Crossville Missionary Baptist Church. Elizabeth married John P. (Floyd) Robinson in 1956, and he proceeded her in death in 2021. Together, they spent their adult lives farming east of Fairfield.
Elizabeth is survived by her son- Robert (Teresa) Robinson of Fairfield; daughter- Renee (Mark) Smith of OIney; 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 sister Glenna (Vernie) Sullivan, and 10 nieces and nephews also survive. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, her parents Robert and Vera Schach, 3 sisters – Zelphia Scoggins, JoAnn Reeves, Jean Evans and 2 brothers James “Jimmy” Schach and Robert “Bob” Schach.
In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, no public services will be held. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, Illinois. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home have been entrusted with all arrangements.
