On Saturday, the Fairfield Mules Boys Wrestling team was in action at the Skull & Crossbones Tournament at Toledo Cumberland. The Mules picked up 9 victories on the day and had two wrestlers who finished as medalists. At 106 lbs. Carter Poole picked up 3 pinfall victories; Anthony Granfeldt had a pinfall win at 113 lbs., Laython Craft had a pinfall win at 120 lbs., Jedd Wellen had a technical fall and pinfall win at 126 lbs., Grant Jennette had a pinfall victory at 190 lbs., and Hayden Felowitz had a pinfall victory at 285 lbs. Medalists for Fairfield were Carter Poole with 5th Place in 106 lbs. and Jedd Wellen with 6th Place at 126 lbs.

On Sunday, The Fairfield Mules Competition Cheerleading squad competed at the Mt. Vernon ICCA Invitational and took 1st Place in the 1A Small Varsity Game Day Competition.

(Sunrise, FL) — Robert Thomas put together a dominant performance as the St. Louis Blues beat the Florida Panthers 6-2 at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday. Thomas has two goals and an assist in the victory, while Jake Neighbours also scored a pair of goals. Jonatan Berggren and Justin Faulk each lit the lamp as well. The Blues are in fifth place in the Central Division with 36 points. They visit the Lightning tonight.
The Chicago Blackhawks gave up three-goals in the third period during a 6-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday. The game was tied entering the final period before Ottawa scored twice in the next six minutes. Ilya Mikheyev scored twice in the losing effort, while Andre Burakovsky and Nick Lardis also lit the lamp. The Hawks are in last place in the Central Division with 32 point. They host the Flyers tomorrow night.

The Cardinals are acquiring right-handed pitcher Hunter Dobbins and pitching prospects Yhoiker Fajardo and Blake Aita to complete the deal. Contreras spent the last three seasons with St. Louis. Dobbins went 4-and-1 with a 4.13 ERA in 13 games last year.
