>>NFL Week 16 Recap

(Undated) — Week 16 of the NFL season has wrapped up. The San Francisco 49ers capped off the week of action with a 48-27 road victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football. The Niners have won five straight games and still have a shot at the NFC’s top seed at 11-and-4. The Colts playoff chances took a major hit as they dropped to 8-and-7 with two games to go. The Colts’ loss clinched playoff berths for the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers. Five of the seven AFC playoff spots are now filled with all of the division titles still up for grabs. In the NFC, five playoff spots are also locked up, with the Philadelphia Eagles the only team so far to claim a division crown. Week 17 kicks off with a Christmas Day triple-header.

>>Steelers’ DK Metcalf Suspended For Fan Punch

(Pittsburgh, PA) — Steelers star DK Metcalf is done for the regular season. The NFL suspended the receiver for Pittsburgh’s last two games for throwing a punch at a fan during Sunday’s game against the Lions in Detroit. Lawyers representing the spectator said no racial, misogynistic or hate-based language was used during the incident. Metcalf has a history with the fan going back to his time with the Seahawks. He is appealing the suspension.

>>Chargers LB Perryman Suspended Two Games

(Undated) — The NFL is handing down a punishment to Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman. The league is suspending Perryman for two games without pay due to repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players. The 33-year-old was flagged for unnecessary roughness in the second quarter of the team’s win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16 after delivering a helmet-to-helmet hit on Dallas wide receiver Ryan Flournoy. Perryman’s agent said that his client will appeal the suspension. He was also suspended in 2023 following a helmet-to-helmet hit on Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

>>Report: Chiefs QB Minshew Avoids ACL Tear

(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs have received some positive news regarding quarterback Gardner Minshew’s knee injury. ESPN is reporting that Minshew does not have a torn ACL, as the team initially feared. The 29-year-old suffered the injury to his left knee during the team’s loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 16, but tests have shown that the ACL remains intact. Minshew was placed on injured reserve Monday, which paves the way for Chris Oladokun [[ Oh-LAH-Doe-KUN ]] to make his first career start against the Denver Broncos in Week 17. Kansas City has signed Shane Buechele [[ BOO-shell ]] off the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad to replenish their thin QB room.

>>Kansas City Chiefs Announce Move To Kansas

The Chiefs have been in Kansas City, Missouri since 1963 and in their current stadium since 1972.

>>Ohio State’s Ryan Day Will Call Plays In CFP

(Columbus, OH) — Ohio State’s head coach is taking on more responsibility ahead of the school’s College Football Playoff showdown. >>Report: Notre Dame USC College Football Game Coming to an End

(Los Angeles, CA) — The annual Notre Dame-USC football game is reportedly coming to an end. Multiple media outlets are reporting the two sides have failed to reach an agreement to play each other again in 2026.
