Gregory Brent “Greg” Branch, 63, of McLeansboro

Gregory Brent “Greg” Branch, 63, of McLeansboro passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Carmi.  He was born on October 2, 1962 in Fort Knox, KY to Eulan & Frances Branch.

Greg was United States Navy veteran.  He worked as a truck driver for various companies, a radio DJ, and an ambulance driver and EMT for Gholson’s Ambulance Service in McLeansboro.  He enjoyed going fishing and watching sports, especially the Texas Longhorns and the St. Louis Cardinals.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of McLeansboro.

He is survived by his mother Frances Branch of McLeansboro, daughter Kisha (Dave) Incer of McLeansboro, son Justin (Danielle) Branch of McLeansboro, daughter Samantha Branch of McLeansboro, and six grandchildren: Tyler Branch, Layne Fuller, Tanner Branch, Kaiden Fuller, Adelynn McCullough, and Aubrey McCullough, all of McLeansboro.

He was preceded in death by his father Eulan Branch, brother Aaron Branch, half-sister Rebecca Branch, paternal grandparents R. J. Branch & Lillian Williams, and maternal grandparents Angus Knight & Mabel Lamkin Knight.  He was also preceded in death by several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services for Gregory Brent “Greg” Branch will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Jacob Gray officiating.  The family requests casual dress and St. Louis Cardinals gear is encouraged.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gholson Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
