The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has established a national batching deadline of January 15th for the first funding round of several major conservation programs. This new deadline gives farmers a clear and consistent timeline to apply for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), and Agricultural Management Assistance.
This round also includes the new NRCS Regenerative Pilot Program, which offers targeted Farmer First assistance through EQIP and CSP.
Although NRCS programs accept applications on a continuous basis, the agency is implementing this initial national batching period due to the government shutdown. The goal is to ensure producers have timely access to funding and support.
