Mayor Travis Thompson is highlighting a major funding win for the City of Grayville. The municipality has received notification that its application for a $1 million Community Development Block Grant has been approved. The funds will go toward critical repairs to the city’s Sewer Waste Lagoon.
This latest grant marks the third such award for Grayville in just over six years, bringing the total to more than $2 million in grant funding secured for city improvements.
Mayor Thompson said, “This is another step in the right direction as we continue to budget and apply for grants in order to improve our infrastructure. We would like to thank Milano and Grunloh Engineering for their help with this project.”
City officials say the upgrades to the Sewer Waste Lagoon are essential for maintaining safe and reliable wastewater services for residents. The city will continue to pursue additional grants and funding opportunities to further enhance local infrastructure.
