(Undated) — New England Patriots player Christian Barmore is facing an assault and battery charge stemming from an incident in August. According to Attleborough District Court documents obtained by WCVB, the 26-year-old defensive tackle rushed at a woman and grabbed her by the shirt “in the area of the neck” as she attempted to leave his room. The incident reportedly took place in front of a two-year-old child shared by Barmore and the victim, who he was reported to have been in a relationship with. A criminal complaint was issued for Barmore on December 16th, and he’s scheduled for an arraignment on February 3rd, 2026.

(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers added to their secondary ahead of their season finale. Green Bay claimed cornerback Trevon Diggs off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys. Diggs was let go earlier this week for a variety of issues, including reportedly skipping the team’s flight home following their Christmas game against the Commanders. Diggs has 25 total tackles in eight games this season.

Jackson missed Saturday’s win over the Green Bay Packers with a back contusion he suffered the previous week.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that San Francisco is signing veteran right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle [[ mal-ee ]] to a one-year deal. The 31-year-old went 6-and-4 with a 2.18 ERA through 16 starts with the Texas Rangers last season. He will join a starting rotation that is led by Logan Webb, Robbie Ray and fellow free agent signing Adrian Houser. Injuries have limited Mahle to a total of 24 starts over the previous three seasons.

(Chicago, IL) — The Chicago White Sox are taking a flyer on a former top prospect. The Southsiders signed outfielder Jarred Kelenic to a minor league deal yesterday. The contract includes an invitation to Spring Training. The 26-year-old spent last season with the Braves. He hit .167 with two home runs and two RBI’s in 24 games in 2025.
