NESTLÉ ANNOUNCES GLOBAL RECALL OF SOME BABY FORMULA PRODUCTS

Nestlé has issued a global recall of certain baby formula products after determining that specific batches may contain toxins that could cause food poisoning.

In a statement, the company said the recall affects select batches of its SMA infant formula and follow-on formula. Nestlé emphasized that there have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the products, but the recall is being carried out “out of an abundance of caution.”

Parents and caregivers who have purchased the affected formula are encouraged to stop using the product immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they have any concerns. Nestlé said customers will be eligible for a full refund.

The company is working with health authorities to ensure the recalled products are removed from shelves and to prevent any potential risk to consumers.
