EDWARDS COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ASSESSMENTS ANNOUNCES SENIOR CITIZEN HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS

By Mark Wells Jan 8, 2026 | 5:57 AM

Edwards County Senior Citizens Homestead Exemptions have been mailed out for the 2026 payable 2027 tax year. If you are age 65 or older, you may qualify for the Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption, which provides a discount on your property tax bill.

Additionally, if your total household income for 2025 is less than $75,000, you may be eligible for the Low-Income Senior Citizen Freeze. This program freezes the assessed value of your residential property, potentially saving you money on future taxes.

For more information or to apply, please call or visit the Edwards County Supervisor of Assessments office at 618-445-3591.
