WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT NEWS FROM TUESDAY

A Robinson man pleaded guilty to a domestic battery charge during proceedings Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court.  Court records show 50-year-old Robert Irvin of Robinson entered a guilty plea to domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. As part of the plea agreement, two additional counts were dismissed.  Irvin received credit for seven days already served in the Wayne County Jail. He was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay court costs and the victim’s medical expenses.  The court also issued a no-contact order, prohibiting Irvin from contacting the victim or entering the victim’s premises. He was further ordered to make restitution to the victim in connection with the case.

 

Eric Shelby, 30, of Fairfield, pled guilty in court to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a class 3 felony. Shelby was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay court costs. He was also given credit for 31 days already served in the Wayne County Jail.  As part of the plea agreement, three additional cases against Shelby were dismissed.
