The Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission (GWRPC) has announced the awarding of DCEO-CDBG grants in the region as part of the 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
A total of $24 million will be distributed to 15 communities, benefiting 14,000 Illinois residents through CDBG Public Infrastructure funding. These grants help communities improve access to healthy drinking water and reliable sanitary sewer systems.
Among the award recipients in the GWRPC region:
City of Fairfield: $1,000,000
City of Grayville: $1,000,000
City of Lawrenceville: $1,000,000
City of Albion: $1,439,115
These grants will support vital infrastructure projects to enhance public health and quality of life throughout the region.
