The Wayne County Raccoon Roundup has announced its second collection date, scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants can bring raccoon tails to the Wayne County Farm Bureau office, located at 301 E Court Street in Fairfield.
Members will be paid $3.00 per tail, with a maximum of 50 tails allowed for this collection date. Memberships cannot be transferred or proxied to another individual for this program, and members must present a valid Illinois hunting or trapping license. Membership status will be verified at the time of drop-off.
All tails must be harvested in accordance with Illinois laws and hunting and trapping regulations. An additional collection date is set for Thursday, February 12th. For full program details, visit www.waynecfb.com/roundup
