The National Weather Service expects a period of cold air across the region, with temperatures staying below freezing today, along with very dry air and gusty winds.
By Tuesday, temperatures are forecast to warm to near or slightly above freezing. By midweek through next weekend, the forecast indicates warmer air may move in, bringing many areas into the 40s. There is also the potential for more unsettled weather by the weekend.
