Authorities in Hardin County have confirmed the body of a man who was reported missing has been found.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office says Zachary Ethan Dunstan was discovered deceased on Sunday, January 18th. Dunstan had been reported missing late last month, prompting a public search effort this week.
Officials say Dunstan’s truck was located last week in a wooded area, and he was later found in a wooded area following continued search efforts.
The investigation remains ongoing. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by several agencies, including the Illinois State Police, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and the U.S. Forest Service.
Authorities say no further information is being released at this time.
