San Francisco general manager John Lynch said that it is safe to say that wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk [[ EYE-yook ]] has played his final snap with the franchise. Lynch said that a release or, more unlikely, a trade of Aiyuk will occur in due time. Multiple sources reported that the team attempted to trade the 27-year-old last offseason, but a major knee injury that he sustained during the 2024 season ended any realistic hopes of a good return.
