The Blue Point Church is reaching out to local seniors with a special event this month. A Senior Grocery Giveaway will be held Thursday morning, January 29, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church, located at 1147 County Road 1975N, Cisne just 3 miles west of Cisne and 2 miles north off Blue Mound Road.
Anyone age 60 or older is invited to stop by and pick up a box of groceries, fresh produce, and a loaf of bread. There are no income requirements, seniors are simply encouraged to come and take advantage of this community resource.
Organizers hope the event will help local seniors, especially as winter weather and cold temperatures make shopping and travel more difficult.
