22-year-old Anthony Vasoli of Fairfield, has been arrested and jailed on charges of armed robbery and domestic battery. Vasoli was booked into the Wayne County Jail last Friday night following an incident in which he allegedly brandished a firearm during a domestic dispute and demanded money.
Fairfield City Police made the arrest and transported Vasoli to the Wayne County Jail. At the time of his arrest, Vasoli was already serving a four-year probation sentence for his involvement in the burglary and vandalism of the Fairfield light plant—a crime that resulted in a significant fuel spill. Court records indicate Vasoli owes $63,687 in restitution as his share of the damages from that case.
Vasoli remains in custody at the Wayne County jail pending a court appearance.
