The St. Louis Blues are on a five-game losing streak following a 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center. The Blues scored three times in the third period to overcome a 3-0 deficit, but they gave up the game-winning goal to Thomas Harley with about a minute left in regulation. Brayden Schenn had two goals in the losing effort, while Robby Fabbri also found the back of the net. St. Louis is in last place in the Central Division with 47 points. The Blues host Florida tomorrow night.

The Chicago Blackhawks blew a 3-0 lead during a 4-3 shootout loss to the Minnesota Wild at Grand Casino Arena. Teuvo Teravainen, Ryan Donato, and Ilya Mikheyev all scored in the first two periods before Minnesota took control of the game. Chicago is in sixth place in the Central Division with 51 points. The Hawks visit the Penguins tomorrow.

Cubs Ink OF Carlson
(Chicago, IL) — The Chicago Cubs are adding some depth in the outfield. The team signed Dylan Carlson to a minor league deal yesterday. Carlson’s contract includes an invitation to Spring Training, and he’ll earn two-million dollars if he earns a spot on the active roster. Carlson spent last season with the Orioles. The 27-year-old hit .203 with six home runs and 20 RBI’s in 83 games last season.

The six-time Super Bowl champion head coach received a call from a Hall representative last Friday with the news he won’t be inducted this summer. Belichick has been described as “puzzled” and “disappointed” by his inability to receive at least 40 of the 50 votes needed. His scandals with the Patriots, Spygate and Deflategate, were part of the discussion among voters.

(Buffalo, NY) — The Buffalo Bills are staying in-house to name their next head coach. The team announced offensive coordinator Joe Brady is being promoted to the vacant role and signing him to a five-year deal. Brady will take over for Sean McDermott, who was fired following the team’s most recent playoff loss after nine seasons. The 36-year-old coach has been on the Bills’ coaching staff since 2022 and has been the full-time offensive coordinator since 2024.

(Florham Park, NJ) — The Jets continue to shake up their coaching staff. According to ESPN, the Green and White have parted ways with offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand after only one season. The move comes four days after head coach Aaron Glenn fired seven assistant coaches. The search for a new OC will begin immediately, and Glenn has already talked with former Panthers and Colts head coach Frank Reich.

(Englewood, CO) — The Broncos are moving on from their offensive coordinator following the team’s loss in the AFC Championship Game. Denver has fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi following three seasons with the team. Lombardi spent a dozen years on head coach Sean Payton’s staff with the New Orleans Saints and had been Denver’s OC since Payton was hired in 2023. The top two internal candidates for the position are rumored to be assistant head coach and run game coordinator Zach Strief or quarterbacks coach Davis Webb. Wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and cornerbacks coach Addison Lynch were also fired Tuesday.

Colorado is signing defenseman Sam Malinski to a four-year contract extension that is reportedly worth 19-million dollars. He is second among the team’s blueliners in assists behind reigning Norris Trophy winner Cale Makar. Malinski has 11 goals and 38 assists through 149 career games.

The top-seeded men’s player defeated sixth-seeded Alex De Minaur in straight sets to advance to the semifinals. ***Fourth-seeded Novak Djokovic/fifth-seeded Lorenzo Musetti in a quarterfinal match.
