







Jim Bolin, Vice-President of Bolin Enterprises, Inc. and the creative force behind the renowned Big Things in A Small Town attractions in Casey, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, January 27th, following injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.
Bolin was widely celebrated for his visionary contributions to the Casey community, having built several Guinness World Record-holding installations, beginning with the World’s Largest Windchime completed in 2011. His larger-than-life creations brought joy to countless visitors and put Casey on the map as a destination for unique roadside attractions.
Tributes have poured in following news of his passing. Craig Glenday, Editor-in-Chief of the Guinness Book of World Records, stated, “I’m saddened to hear the news of multi-record holder Jim Bolin’s passing. I always loved seeing how his record-breaking builds brought so much joy to the world! Jim showed us all how just one person can make a difference. In his case, a BIG difference.”
Illinois State Representative Adam M. Niemerg, District 102, also shared his condolences: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jim Bolin. Jim was a great man who will be missed. He had a warm heart and did so much for his family and community. My prayers go to Jim and his family during this difficult time.”
