Fairfield Memorial Hospital (FMH) is pleased to announce the addition of Mikayla Troyer, PMHNP, to its Mental and Behavioral Health team. Troyer joins FMH as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, further enhancing access to comprehensive behavioral health services for patients throughout the region. Troyer brings a robust clinical background and a strong dedication to patient-centered care. She holds a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Northern Kentucky University, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Frontier Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.

Before becoming a provider, Troyer gained valuable experience as a Registered Nurse at FMH’s Horizon Healthcare Mental Health Clinic, where she cared for patients with diverse psychiatric needs. Her clinical expertise spans outpatient behavioral health services at several regional clinics, providing care to patients ages 5 and older. In her new role, she will work alongside JoAnn Smith, PMHNP, to deliver high-quality, comprehensive mental health care to the community. As a PMHNP, Troyer evaluates new and existing patients, creates individualized treatment plans, manages medications, conducts psychotherapy sessions, performs GeneSight testing as needed, and works closely with therapists and care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. She also places a strong emphasis on patient education and safety planning as part of her holistic approach to mental health care.
